| Overview
Located on the stunning shores of Costa Rica, this project emerges as a beachfront sanctuary that combines the convenience of modern living with the unspoiled beauty of its coastal surroundings. Our international clients commissioned us to transform a pristine estate into a collection of residences designed for community living and private retreats, giving birth to Pasha: Innovative Architecture and Community Harmony.
| Concept
Pasha has been conceived as an architectural embrace between the lush natural surroundings and the blue of the ocean. A constellation of smaller houses surrounds a large villa, each structure designed to disappear into the landscape while offering unobstructed views and direct contact with the elemental power of the sea. The choice of natural materials and spacious outdoor living areas ensure that every moment is infused with the rhythm of the ocean.
| Design
BIM’s vision was realized through a combination of durable materials and locally sourced, sustainable teak wood, creating expansive terraces topped with sugarcane thatched roofs. This design ethos fosters a deep connection with nature, inviting the outdoors in. Pavilion-like structures create secluded retreats that gather in communal celebration within the generous embrace of the main villa.
| Construction
A distinctive architectural language combines resilient concrete with the organic warmth of wood, allowing for a modular approach that celebrates precision and craftsmanship. This innovative strategy allowed for the reproduction of design elements throughout the estate, displaying a high level of detail.
